Explore Your Soma Health Connection: Your Path to Wellness

Gentle movement for people living with chronic pain, stress, and tension

Soma Health Connection offers somatic movement sessions designed to help you reconnect with your body, reduce pain, and move with more ease.

This is not fitness. It is not about performance or pushing through discomfort. It is about listening to your body and rebuilding trust, one small movement at a time.

What Is Clinical Somatic Movement?

Clinical Somatic Movement is a gentle, awareness-based approach to movement that focuses on how your body feels rather than how it looks.

Instead of forcing stretches or working through pain, we slow things down. We notice sensations. We allow the nervous system to soften so the body can release long-held tension. We are educating your body on how it can move differently, freely, and without pain or tension.

This approach can be especially supportive for people living with chronic pain, mobility challenges, stress, trauma, or a sense of disconnection from their body.

Clinical Somatic Movement is adaptable, respectful, and designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Who This Is For

Soma Health Connection may be a good fit if you:

    • Live with chronic pain, persistent tension, or have or had injuries
    • Feel overwhelmed, shut down, or disconnected from your body
    • Want to understand the emotional impact on your body, learn tools to help calm your nervous system, and release those stressors from your body
    • Have tried traditional exercise or physical therapy and felt frustrated with how your body is resistant to change
    • Want to improve athletic performance, working to regain voluntary control over your muscles
    • Want a gentle approach that works with your body, not against it

    About Jeri

    Hi, I’m Jeri.

I created Soma Health Connection because so many people are told to ignore their pain, push harder, or override what their body is trying to communicate.

My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s experience. Sessions are slow, gentle, and adaptable, with a focus on helping you feel safer and more at home in your body.

This is not about fixing or forcing change. It is about listening, exploring, and allowing change to unfold naturally.

    What Working Together Looks Like

Sessions are offered in a small, supportive setting.

We begin with a conversation about what you are experiencing and what you are hoping for. Movement is guided gently and adjusted to your comfort level in real time.

There is no expectation to perform, achieve, or push through discomfort. The goal is to support ease, awareness, and a sense of connection with your body.

Clinical Sessions are offered on a 1:1 basis, and can have the most impact on your brain’s ability to learn. Each session is approximately 75-90 mins long.

Group classes are also offered, whether in person or on Zoom. This work is done lying on a mat on the floor or sometimes standing or seated in a chair. These classes offer a way to introduce movement to your brain and body, or to reinforce new learning from a clinical session and create long-term learning for your body through this gentle class. These classes typically last between 60-90 mins.

At times, there are longer workshop formats offered over the course of multiple weeks, often with a theme or a focus.
